Regional Transit
It is important to recognize that for public transportation to be successful, it needs to be planned for on a more regional basis. The Liberty Groves Area Plan establishes goals and policies which encourage the use of future public transit. In addition, the Area Plan proposes a Conceptual Transit Plan which identifies Avenue 12/Avenue 12 bypass as a potential regional route and proposes an internal connection to this route as well as conceptual locations for bus stops and a transit center. The developer will continue to consult with the County of Madera and regional transportation agencies to ensure the project is integrated with regional transit plans.
